- A beginning of things (1 Genesis 1:1)
- Note in Genesis that each new day begins at night, when the stars come out. Stars are at the beginning.
- Light to see (1 Genesis 1:3-4)
- Stars, which probably includes the Sun, represent light. Stars give light to see. After God makes light it says "God saw" that the light was good.
- Light for the land (1 Genesis 1:15)
- Stars represent the light needed by things on the land, such as plants.
In Hosea Wä is _____
- The beginning of the word to Hosea (23 Hosea 1:2)
- It's not necessary to tell us at the beginning of Hosea that this is the beginning of Hosea. None of the other books of the Bible do this. It's there because beginning is a concept related to stars.
- Coming of dawn and spring rain (23 Hosea 6:3)
- Stars give light and represent the beginning much like the coming of dawn. Stars are also up above in the sky where the rain comes from. So light and rain come down from above. This coming down of light from stars is another sense of star.
In Philippians Wä is _____
- Light shinning in a dark world (45 Philippians 2:15)
- The Philippians were addressed as "lights that shine in a dark world."
